Introduction

The AU-EU Business Forum (AEBF2025) brings together business leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators from the EU and Africa and facilitates high-level engagement. Held in parallel with the EU-AU Forum in Luanda, Angola, the Forum is a catalyst for action - connecting capital with opportunity across Africa’s most dynamic sectors. It is expected that leaders from the European Union and African Union will open the Business Forum.

As one of the most prestigious events celebrating the Africa-Europe partnerships, this year’s programme will start on 24th of November, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on the role of the private sector in originating lasting solutions in key sectors.

With over €150 billion being mobilised under the Global Gateway Africa-Europe Investment Package, the AEBF2025 offers a unique space to explore innovative financing solutions, unlock bankable projects, and forge strategic partnerships between public and private sectors. The Business Forum will show how bold ideas become bankable projects - creating real opportunities to scale investment across priority sectors.

The Africa Virtual Investment Platform will be discussed in a high-level panel on investment in Africa. H.E. Francisca Tatchouop Belobe, African Union Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Minerals, and Koen Doens, Director General for International Partnerships in the European Commission will present the initiative and elaborate on the platform's value for promoting investment in Africa.

The AVIP webpage will further be presented in a dedicated AVIP Pavilion at the forum.
